Vice Chancellor for International Affairs
Introduction
Afghan International Islamic University has five vice-chancellors, including the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of International Relations. This office plays a key role in maintaining relationships with foreign professors, students, educational institutions, and international organizations. It was established in 1443 A.H. with the approval of the Ministry of Higher Education and leadership of the Islamic Emirate.
Vision
To establish standard and sustainable academic and scientific relations with educational and charitable institutions, research centers, and organizations at regional and international levels, respecting Islamic and national values.
Mission
To cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships that advance the growth, development, and academic excellence of AIU. This includes collaborations at national and international levels, facilitating agreements, promoting scientific research, and enhancing scholarly achievements.
Objectives
- Enhance AIU's international standing and promote specialized academic disciplines.
- Establish memberships and partnerships with reputable scientific and international organizations.
- Expand international academic collaborations while upholding Islamic law (Sharia) and national interests.
- Strengthen cooperation with Islamic world organizations, OIC, and charitable institutions.
- Engage with investors in health, agriculture, and engineering sectors.
- Facilitate official travel for agreements and MOUs on behalf of AIU.
- Support international faculty visits and visa issuance for academics.
- Develop modern laboratories and scientific infrastructure at AIU.
