A scientific conference titled “Islamic Banking” was held.
Organized by the Office for Professional Capacity Building of Lecturers under the Academic Affairs Directorate of the Afghan International Islamic University, a one-day scientific conference titled “Islamic Banking” was conducted through the initiative and efforts of this office.
The conference was presented by Dr. Ashraf Mohammad Dawaba, a lecturer of the Faculty of Sharia. The Academic Vice Chancellor, the Student Affairs Vice Chancellor, the Finance and Administration Vice Chancellor, lecturers of the Faculty of Sharia, and a large number of students attended the event.
The conference began with an opening speech by the Academic Vice Chancellor, Associate Professor Dr. Abdul Wahid Liaqat. He welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance and value of scientific conferences, adding that every university lecturer is obliged to present at least two scientific conferences each year in addition to their academic development.
During the conference, Dr. Ashraf Mohammad Dawaba provided a detailed presentation on the importance, principles, financing mechanisms, requirements, and topics such as Murabaha, Deferred Sale (Bai’ al-Ajal), Salam Contract, Istisna’, and other Islamic financial transactions.
The conference, aimed at introducing, clarifying, and enhancing knowledge about the Islamic financial system, was warmly welcomed by the participants and provided valuable academic insights to the attendees. The Office for Professional Capacity Building of Lecturers is committed to organizing similar effective scientific programs and conferences in the future to further strengthen the academic capacity of lecturers and students.
