Conclusion of the Three-Day Religious and Reformative Seminar
Today Thursday corresponding to the 16th of Dalwa of the year 1404 (Solar Hijri), the final day of the three-day religious and reformative seminar for the professors and staff of the Afghan International Islamic University was held in the presence of the Honorable Minister of Higher Education, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Mawlawi Nida Mohammad Nadim, the university leadership, respected religious scholars, professors, and administrative and service staff.
On this day of the seminar, the Honorable Minister of Higher Education, Sheikh Mawlawi Nida Mohammad Nadim, delivered a scholarly lecture under the title “Maqasid al-Shariah and Al-Wala wal-Bara.”
In his comprehensive address, he elaborated on the objectives and purposes of Islamic Sharia, emphasizing that the fundamental aim of Sharia is the protection and preservation of religion, life, lineage, intellect, and property. He added that the Islamic Emirate has safeguarded these principles and will continue to do so.
Mawlawi Nida Mohammad Nadim stated:
“While in other countries international law is given priority despite violating many principles of Sharia, praise be to Allah, all actions of the Islamic Emirate are carried out in accordance with Islamic principles, and no one will be allowed to violate the principles of Sharia.”
He further called upon professors to strengthen the educational system by focusing not only on theoretical instruction but also on providing students with practical learning opportunities.
Subsequently, Sheikh Mahmood Zakari, the Imam and Khateeb of Abdul Rahman Mosque, delivered a valuable speech on the sense of responsibility, trustworthiness, condemnation of betrayal, as well as the status and responsibilities of teachers toward students and the Islamic system. He emphasized that despite the high status of teachers, they bear great responsibilities and must make tireless efforts to ensure the proper education of their students and to fulfill this significant duty effectively.
Additionally, Sheikh Aziz-ur-Rahman Mansoor, former Deputy Minister of Hajj and Religious Affairs and the current Governor of Parwan Province, delivered a speech on the virtues and importance of Jihad, the causes of weakness among Muslims, the importance of unity and solidarity, and the harms of fanaticism. He noted that in the past, Jihad was practiced collectively, resulting in security across Islamic countries; however, with the weakening of Jihad today, oppression by disbelievers has increased in many Islamic nations.
It is worth mentioning that the Afghan International Islamic University, through organizing such scholarly and religious seminars, aims to raise public awareness among its staff and to strengthen academic, moral, and Islamic values.
