The Professional Development Center, under the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs at the Afghan International Islamic University, successfully organized two academic seminars titled “Teaching of the Aqeedah (Creed) Book” and “Review of the Annual Evaluation of Academic Programs.” The events were attended by members of the university leadership and faculty representatives from various academic departments.
The first seminar, “Teaching of the Aqeedah Book,” was presented by the Acting President of the University, Associate Professor Dr. Rafiullah Atta. In his presentation, he provided a comprehensive explanation of the fundamental principles of Islamic creed, including the concept of Tawhid (the Oneness of Allah), the understanding of Qadar (Divine Decree), and its various classifications. He emphasized that Allah Almighty created humankind to fulfill the noble purposes of worship, stewardship (Khilafah), and righteous governance on earth.
The second seminar, titled “Review of the Annual Evaluation of Academic Programs,” was presented by Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghairat, the Deputy Vice President for Student Affairs. His presentation focused on the university’s quality assurance framework, covering the annual evaluation process for academic programs, the procedures for reviewing academic programs, quality standards, and other aspects related to institutional and academic development.
These seminars were organized to enhance the academic and professional competencies of faculty members while reinforcing the university’s commitment to quality assurance and continuous academic improvement. The sessions offered participants valuable insights and practical knowledge to support excellence in teaching, learning, and academic program management.
At the conclusion of the seminars, participants actively engaged in a question-and-answer session, during which the presenters addressed inquiries with comprehensive and informative responses.
