Faculty of Medicine

AIIU Faculty of Medicine located in the heart of Kabul on Darul-Aman Road with easy access, offers various and multidisciplinary options within our programs in lab-based science, public health, and clinical healthcare services. It also offers a competitive education system in a dynamic learning environment based on credit hours’ system. The faculty is capable of producing a well-rounded medical graduate who can fulfil Afghanistan's needs for modern patient care and disease prevention, but we lack the resources and technology to do so. We are pleased to provide three postgraduate MS programs in Nursing, Microbiology and Medical laboratory technology (MLT). At AIIU, we intend to carry out high-quality, collaborative research in the fields of cancer biology, computational biology, viral, bacterial pathogenesis, and human molecular genetics. The Faculty of Medicine provides an atmosphere for learning and research for students at the undergraduate level from other institutions. Our goal is to provide postgraduate and doctoral and postdoctoral level research facilities.

By integrating the best minds and resources, the newly formed Faculty of Medicine at AIIU is designed to harness collaboration and translate research into education and clinical practice to facilitate solving modern day healthcare problems through research by addressing the need of the Afghan society.
