Head of Da’wah and Guidance Visits Afghan International Islamic University
Today, Sunday, the Head of Da’wah and Guidance of the Ministry of Higher Education, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Mawlawi Hikmatullah Hikmat, along with his accompanying delegation, visited the Afghan International Islamic University and held a reformative meeting with the university’s leadership and lecturers.
The meeting began with welcoming remarks by the Acting Chancellor of Afghan International Islamic University, Pohandoy Dr. Rafiullah Ata. He warmly welcomed the Head of Da’wah and Guidance of the Ministry of Higher Education and his delegation and expressed his pleasure over their visit.
During the meeting, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Mawlawi Hikmatullah Hikmat delivered a reform-oriented speech regarding the responsibilities of lecturers and the strengthening of Islamic values. From the perspective of Islam, he emphasized the importance of keeping a beard, the proper moral and academic upbringing of students within the framework of the Islamic system, and the need for lecturers to correct and improve both their character and appearance.
Sheikh Hikmat stated:
“Whenever Allah Almighty grants a person a higher position, He also increases their responsibilities accordingly.”
He further added that lecturers should align their character and appearance with the principles of Islamic Sharia and educate students in accordance with Islamic values.
At the end of the meeting, the Acting Chancellor of Afghan International Islamic University, Dr. Rafiullah Ata, thanked the visiting delegation and described such meetings as beneficial for strengthening the university’s academic environment and for guiding lecturers.
