1. Introduction to the Faculty of Computer Science
The twenty-first century is widely regarded as the century of science and technology, as the global economy, development, security, and virtually every aspect of modern life are closely connected to scientific and technological advancement. In the contemporary era, the Faculty of Computer Science is considered one of the most important and valuable academic faculties.
The Faculty of Computer Science prepares specialists in the fields of Information Technology, Software Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and equips them with practical skills relevant to the labor market. In this regard, the Faculty serves as an important foundation for innovation, research, technological advancement, and sustainable economic development.
In response to the needs of society and with the aim of contributing to the rapid development of Afghanistan, the Faculty of Computer Science was established in 1404 A.H.S. at the Afghan International Islamic University for postgraduate education, upon the initiative of the leadership of the University and with the special support of the Ministry of Higher Education and the Prime Minister.
Currently, 51 students are enrolled in two Master's degree programs, namely Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering. The teaching and academic activities of these programs are conducted by 7 local and international faculty members.
