Commencement of a Three-Day Religious and Reformative Seminar at Afghan International Islamic University.
corresponding to the 14th of Dalwa of the current year, a three-day religious and reformative seminar commenced at Afghan International Islamic University with the participation of the university leadership and all staff members.
The opening ceremony of the seminar began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by an inaugural and welcome speech delivered by the Deputy for Academic Affairs of the university, Pohandwal Dr. Abdul Wahid Liaqat. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of religious reform and described such programs as valuable and essential for the intellectual and moral development of staff members.
Subsequently, a member of the Kabul Council of Scholars, Mufti Rafi-ul-Haq Siddiqi, presented a seminar entitled “Sincerity, Asceticism, Piety, and the Reform of Intention.” He elaborated on these topics, highlighting the importance of sincerity and purity of intention, and stated that the foundation of religious reform begins with an individual’s intention.
After that, the Acting President of Afghan International Islamic University, Pohandoy Dr. Rafiullah Atta, delivered a presentation on “The Importance of the Islamic System, Its Benefits, Objectives, and the Responsibility of Preserving It.” He stated that the Islamic system has been established as a result of numerous sacrifices and that it is the responsibility of all Muslims to support it with sincerity, respect, and full obedience.
It is worth mentioning that this series of religious and reformative seminars will continue over the next two days, during which prominent religious scholars will present seminars on various topics.
