The Thesis Defense Session of the Doctoral Program Was Successfully Held.
On Sunday, a thesis defense session for the second doctoral candidate of the Department of Judiciary and Sharia Policy, Faculty of Sharia, at the Afghan International Islamic University was successfully conducted.
The session was attended by the Acting President of the Afghan International Islamic University, Associate Professor Dr. Rafiullah Ata, the university’s vice presidents, faculty deans, professors of the Faculty of Sharia, and students.
At the beginning of the session, the Deputy for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor Dr. Abdul Wahid Liaqat, welcomed the participants and stated that the Afghan International Islamic University is committed to training qualified cadres for the scientific development and self-reliance of society. He added that the university offers master’s and doctoral programs that are unique and not available in other universities across the country.
Subsequently, the Acting President of the university, Dr. Rafiullah Ata, also welcomed the participants and expressed his appreciation to the professors of the Faculty of Sharia for their tireless efforts in the academic training of students.
Dr. Ata described the provision of such academic cadres to society as a significant achievement not only for the Afghan International Islamic University but also for the Ministry of Higher Education and the entire academic system of the country.
Afterward, the doctoral student of the Faculty of Sharia, Zakiullah Zaki, presented a summary of his thesis titled “The Causes of Departing from Qiyas and Its Applications in Al-Hidaya.” He discussed topics including the definition of cause, the concept of deviation, the definition of Qiyas, the reasons for abandoning Qiyas in the chapters of faith, Hudud, and theft, as well as the introduction of the author, the book Al-Hidaya, and other related subjects.
In the final part of the session, the thesis was discussed and evaluated in the presence of attendees by the external examiner, Associate Professor Dr. Abdullah Haqyar, and the internal examiner, Associate Professor Dr. Mohammad Yunus Ibrahimi.
